Shahrul Niza bin Esa was appointed as Chief Executive Officer effective 1 March 2022. He has over 20 years of experience in sales, strategy and business development in various industries. He started his career in the pharmaceutical industry with several multinational companies including AstraZeneca, BBraun and Baxter Healthcare.

He subsequently joined Mesiniaga Berhad as an Account Manager in 2011 where he was highly involved in the development of the Iskandar Region. He was involved in multiple catalytic projects and modernization of customer’s operation using ICT.

In 2014, he joined VADS Berhad as a specialist supporting customers in the Southern Region before being promoted as Head, TM Enterprise Johor. Shahrul was re-assigned in 2017 as the Director, Iskandar Malaysia Region under the Johor Strategic Economic Corridor Unit (JSEC) where he worked alongside multiple stakeholders in various strategic projects and events. At the same time, he was actively involved in state management and helped craft the overall strategy for TM Johor.

Shahrul final service in Johor is as Head Consumer Johor where he was directly involved in multiple initiatives to transform unifi consumer state operation to cater to growing challenges and demand in the retail sector.
