AZNI RISA RAMLAN

Azni Risa Ramlan, aged 53, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.

She currently serves as Vice President of Business Innovation and Technology at Telekom Malaysia (TM), where she is responsible for overseeing TM’s transformation programmes aimed at driving EBIT growth and ensuring sustainable business performance. In her role, she champions the adoption of agile-at-scale practices across the organisation, provides strategic insights into programme performance, and leads the development of business transformation and innovation frameworks. She also oversees IT investment strategies to accelerate time-to-market and enhance customer experience.

A recipient of the TM Scholarship, Azni began her career with Telekom Malaysia in August 1996. With more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, she has built extensive expertise in network strategy, planning, service design, and technology transformation. Throughout her career, she has successfully leveraged innovative technologies to support business growth, improve operational efficiency, and align technology initiatives with organisational objectives.
Azni has played a key role in several major transformation initiatives, including the High-Speed Broadband (HSBB) Network project, network modernisation through Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV), as well as the deployment of 5G technologies.

In addition, she has led the Presales Technical Consultant organisation, responsible for delivering network and IT solutions to TM’s enterprise customers. Her leadership experience spans business strategy, technology innovation, customer-centric transformation, and digital enablement.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Azni serves as the Chairman of the Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB), a standards forum designated by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to develop technical standards and industry best practices for Malaysia’s communications and multimedia sector.

As a Director of Fibrecomm Network (M) Sdn Bhd, Azni brings extensive leadership experience, strategic insight, and deep industry expertise that contribute to the company’s continued growth, innovation, and commitment to delivering high-quality digital infrastructure solutions.
