PAVALA MALAR KANNAN A/L MARIAPPAN

He has been involved in telecommunications related duties for more than 20 years. He began his career with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (“TNB”) in 1997 as Telecommunications Engineer, and subsequently served in various capacities such as telecommunications operations & maintenance, project management, engineering and technical expert.

In 2016, he joined TNB-IT Sdn Bhd (“TNB_IT”) as Chief Technology Officer and carried out that role until 2020. He was part of the initial team that re-activated TNB-IT and was heavily involved in the development and execution of TNB-IT’s business plan. He contributed immensely to the growth of the company and was responsible for development of TNB-IT’s new products and services.

He re-joined TNB in 2020 as Head (Telco & Network) at ICT Division, TNB before moving to his current role as Head (Intelligent Operations), ICT Division, TNB where he has significantly reduced the operational costs and introduced intelligent end to end ICT service monitoring by incorporating automation and machine learning.
