NURA NADIA ABD HADI

Nura Nadia Abd Hadi was appointed as Chief Financial Officer on 1 August 2024. In this role, she oversees financial management and operations, statutory and financial reporting, credit management, taxation, procurement, strategic management as well as organisational development.

Nadia, a Yayasan Tenaga Nasional scholar graduated from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in 2004 with a Bachelor in Accountancy. She began her career at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) in June 2004, accumulating over 20 years of experience across various units within the Group Finance Division. Her early career focused on tax planning and advisory in the Group Tax Unit, followed by a role as an Internal Auditor for International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

In subsequent positions, she led the Management Reporting team in the Investor Relations (IR) Unit, where she devised a structured TNB Group’s performance and monitoring tracking as well as enhanced financial and technical data analysis. Her unwavering dedication and commitment contributed to TNB winning the National Award for Management Accounting (NAFMA) in 2011. Thereafter, her role as Investor Relation Manager provides immense job satisfaction where she engaged with the external financial community, including both local and international financial analysts and fund managers. Her work on the IR section of the Annual Report won TNB the Gold Award for Good IR Page by Australasian Reporting Awards Limited for 2016 Integrated Reporting. Her team was acknowledged for their remarkable accomplishments as the Best IR in the Singapore Market for a Malaysian Company and the Best IR (Malaysia) by Finance Asia, Hong Kong.

During the Finance Transformation in 2017, Nadia was appointed as Lead Capital Allocation, overseeing budget planning across TNB Group, while exploring the potential of available resources to maximise TNB’s return. In her recent role as Lead Budgetary and Operational Management since July 2020, she has driven cost efficiency through comprehensive budget planning while providing advisory support to finance teams across the organisation. Her other major contribution to TNB was when she led the Finance track for the TNB Energy Transition Conference 2023.
